Starting Point

The Design Vision

I was brought in by an investor to create a home that would stand out in a neighborhood full of copycat white-and-blue coastal vacation homes.

This investor was looking for something that would photograph beautifully, rent quickly, and sell for top dollar. While the other homes in the neighborhood blended together, he wanted a bold, modern coastal retreat that felt fresh, luxurious, and unmistakably elevated.

The investor gave me full creative freedom—not to follow the market, but to set a new standard.

My Creative Process

With creative freedom and a clear performance-driven goal, I leaned into contrast and character to deliver a design that turned heads.

Instead of playing it safe with the usual light and airy palette, I introduced rich black accents, warm woods, and clean-lined details for a more modern coastal feel. Custom cabinetry, bold shiplap, and statement fixtures elevated the look without losing that laid-back beachside vibe.

Every choice was intentional—balancing visual impact with the durability and ease vacation rentals demand. This home broke the mold and captured attention for all the right reasons.

I created a full MLS builder packet that included design boards, finish selections, and mockups. These behind-the-scenes assets gave prospective buyers a clear vision of the final result, even before construction wrapped.
