Your 30A Home Should Feel as Good as It Looks

You’ve been ready to hire a designer—but so far, no one has felt like the right fit.

Maybe the options you’ve explored felt too cookie-cutter, too over-the-top, or they just didn’t seem to “get” your lifestyle. You’re not looking for trendy or flashy. You want a home with a beautiful elevated look, but you don’t want to live in a museum. It has to be comfortable and fit the way you live.

That’s where I come in.

A modern living room features two sofas, a coffee table, large windows, wall art, a TV, and a ceiling fan.

Imagine how it would feel to walk into a space that reflects your unique style—effortlessly blending refined aesthetics with everyday functionality. The lighting is warm, the furnishings are perfectly placed, and every room flows seamlessly. It looks incredible, but more importantly, it feels like home.

That’s what I want to create for you.

With my concierge-level interior design services, I handle every detail from our first conversation to the final reveal. You can relax and enjoy the transformation, confident that your space—and your investment—is in capable hands.

Trusted, Full Service Interior Design on the Florida Emerald Coast

Hi, I’m Kristin Midgett—founder of Kristin Midgett Design and your local 30A interior designer.

I’ve built my career on a passion for creating casual luxury—spaces that balance elevated style with everyday comfort. From my boutique studio in Santa Rosa Beach, FL, I work with discerning homeowners, custom home builders, and vacation rental investors in Florida’s most sought-after coastal community along scenic highway 30A.

Before I was designing full-service interiors, I earned a PhD in marine sciences. My love for the ocean shaped my design perspective and taught me the power of precision and planning—traits I bring to every project.

After years of encouragement from family and friends, I turned my lifelong love of design into a profession in 2014. Since then, I’ve helped clients transform their homes into casually sophisticated spaces that function beautifully.

I also understand what makes homes sell and rentals succeed. With my husband working as a top real estate agent in the 30A area for over 14 years, I’ve seen firsthand how design impacts both value and lifestyle. My interiors help homes rent faster, sell quicker, and live better.

Real Clients, Real Results

"Designer Kristin has impeccable taste. I loved all the furniture she chose and the way she configured each room. She also remodeled 9 bathrooms, my kitchen, and pool house. Her work is stunning and I wish my budget was larger so she could design stuff for my backyard. She works within your budget and makes everything look high end. I highly recommend Kristin Midgett Design."

- Tiffany O.

"Kristin completed renovations and interior designs for our condo in Sandestin. We could not have done it without her. She worked very collaboratively with us on selections and budget. In addition, she handled contractor schedules and furniture delivery which made it very seamless. We’ve already received great condo reviews complimenting the decor. Highly recommend Kristin and can’t wait to work with her on the next project!"

From the First Call to the Final Reveal—Every Detail Handled

Your home is more than just walls and furniture. It’s where life happens. You deserve a space that reflects who you are and supports the way you live.

Too often, homeowners face challenges like mismanaged timelines, budget surprises, or endless back-and-forth with designers who don’t manage the process well. That’s not what you’ll find here.

I bring clarity, care, and thoughtful execution to every detail—from material selections to vendor coordination, so that you’re left with a space that’s elevated, effortless, and uniquely yours.

Get to Know Me

Interior design is personal. Your designer should be, too.

Working with a designer means trusting someone with your home, your time, and your investment. I take that responsibility seriously—but I also believe the process should feel relaxed, collaborative, and maybe even a little fun along the way.

Here’s a peek into what makes me, me—beyond floor plans and finish schedules:

Kristin Midgett with family in a field

Library Aficionado I’ve never met a bookshelf I didn’t love. Great design—like great literature—is all about layering details with intention.

Wanna-Be Birder — If I’m not choosing lighting or planning layouts, I’m likely outside trying (and failing) to identify something with wings.

Summertime Mountaineer — Coastal living is home, but mountain air is my seasonal escape. I crave both calm and contrast.

Dance Competition Mom — Somehow ended up as an unlicensed hair stylist/therapist, amateur makeup artist, and part-time stagehand…all because my daughters decided competitive dance was their thing.

Life Is Easier with a Sense of Humor — Projects run smoother when you can laugh along the way. I bring clarity, calm, and joy to the process. Even during a remodel.

Optimistic Realist — I see your space for what it is—and what it can be. I’ll always tell you the truth, not just what you want to hear, so we can create something truly exceptional.

Nature Fiend — Whether it’s texture, tone, or light, the natural world inspires how I design. It’s all about balance and flow.

Let’s Design a Home That Feels Like You

Whether you’re planning a coastal remodel, preparing your property for vacation rental success, or building your dream home from the ground up—I’d love to help you create a space that feels refined, livable, and completely yours.
